Aimi Coffee Table Statuario by Esther Knopfler is a sculptural coffee table that embodies the French designer's unique vision for marble furniture. Drawing inspiration from the fluid organic forms found in nature, Knopfler conceived Aimi as an exploration of the tension between the weight of marble and the illusion of lightness. The starting point is often a careful observation of natural elements, then transposed into a refined sculptural language. “I seek to reveal the intrinsic beauty of marble, to bring the stone to life and to create a dialogue between material and space,” explains Knopfler, whose work is deeply rooted in an appreciation for the sensual qualities of the material. The Aimi coffee table is made of Statuario, a prestigious white marble from Italian quarries. Its immaculate surface is crossed with subtle gray veins, giving each piece a unique character.
