CHIPPENSTEEL 0.5 in polished stainless steel finish is an iconic chair born from the fusion between tradition and innovation. Inspired by 18th century English armchairs designed by Thomas Chippendale, this piece is laser cut from a sheet of metal, welded then inflated under high pressure using the FiDU process. Although made entirely of metal, it evokes the softness of an upholstered object thanks to its regular perforations imitating quilting. The polished stainless steel surface reflects light and the environment, making each seat a functional sculpture. Each copy is unique, the result of the controlled deformation process characteristic of Zieta Studio.
