Dune Console

Dune Console Pinta Verde by Esther Knopfler is a sculptural console that embodies the French designer's ongoing exploration around the relationship between mass and lightness. Inspired by desert landscapes and wind-sculpted geological formations, Knopfler sought to capture the essence of movement and transformation in a static object. The console evokes the undulating dunes, frozen in a moment of precarious balance, a dance between the solidity of marble and a sensation of weightlessness. Knopfler describes his approach as an attempt to “give marble a voice, to reveal the emotions hidden in its stone.” She explains that each vein, each imperfection, tells a story, and her role is to highlight this narrative. Made from Pinta Verde, an exceptional marble selected for its unique greenish shades and organic patterns, this console is the result of meticulous artisanal work.
