Kornel Janczy

Sometimes the Sun

Sometimes the Sun (2025) by Kornel Janczy is a contemporary abstract sculpture made with acrylic on wood. This 40 x 40 x 5 cm piece explores geometric shapes and textured surfaces with a minimalist approach. The work on color as volume and the materiality of the plywood create a visual tension between abstraction and material. The work evokes an abstract landscape, a simplified horizon where the acrylic paint dialogues with the support to create a tactile and contemplative experience.
