Ottoman by Antony Gasnier, a seated sculpture that transcends its primary functionality to become a chromatic exploration of space. Inspired by the fluidity and translucency of organic forms, Gasnier designed this piece as a dialogue between contemporary design and artisanal know-how. The artist explains that he seeks to “capture light and color to create objects that breathe, that interact with their environment and that invite contemplation.” The Ottoman is made entirely of blown glass, a noble material whose subtleties Gasnier masters thanks to close collaboration with renowned glass artisans. The glass, carefully selected for its purity and its ability to diffuse light, is worked using ancestral techniques, each air bubble and each shade of color being the result of a precise and intentional gesture.
