In *Combustion-1*, César Bardoux transposes the intangible textures of hypermodernity onto the canvas. The work, produced in oil, is fully in line with the artist's approach, which questions the fluidity and constant transformation of matter. We find Bardoux's fascination with new textures from digital technology and the precision of optical instruments, translated here by translucent volumes and subtly distorted geometric frames. Painting, far from being a simple reproduction, becomes a quasi-scientific study, exploring the bodily memory of our aquatic origins and the fusion of temporalities, between ancestral pictorial technique and the innovative aesthetics of digital simulation. Light, diffuse and amniotic, participates in this visual alchemy, revealing a post-human phenomenology where matter is in perpetual change of state, oscillating between combustion and transformation.
