In *Combustion-2*, César Bardoux continues his exploration of materiality and its mutations. Oil on canvas, a classic pictorial technique, becomes the medium for a quasi-scientific investigation of fluids and transient states. The pictorial surface, far from figurative representation, is transformed into a field of experimentation where pigments amalgamate to suggest translucent volumes and distorted geometric frames. The work is located at the crossroads of Bardoux's concerns: the fusion between traditional manual know-how and the possibilities offered by digital modeling. *Combustion-2* evokes a post-human phenomenology, where matter seems constantly in motion, oscillating between the solid, the liquid and the gas, recalling amniotic fluidity and the bodily memory of our aquatic origins. The light, diffuse and penetrating, contributes to this impression of immersion and constant transformation, characteristic of the artist's singular universe.
