In *Combustion-2*, César Bardoux continues his exploration of materiality and its mutations. Oil on canvas, a classic pictorial technique, becomes the medium for a quasi-scientific investigation of fluids and transient states. The pictorial surface, far from figurative representation, is transformed into a field of experimentation where pigments amalgamate to suggest translucent volumes and distorted geometric frames. The work is located at the crossroads of Bardoux's concerns: the fusion between traditional manual know-how and the possibilities offered by digital modeling. *Combustion-2* evokes a post-human phenomenology, where matter seems constantly in motion, oscillating between the solid, the liquid and the gas, recalling amniotic fluidity and the bodily memory of our aquatic origins.
