Chair made up of U-shaped turns and L-shaped turns of a flexible cylinder, this piece measures 30.5×61×61cm. The shape is rigid but padded, offered in a transparent finish or custom color which creates a unique visual effect. The transparent treatment reveals the underlying construction while maintaining the tactile quality of the surface. The custom wool and silk blend accentuates the curvature of the shapes, allowing light to play through and around the structure. This material approach creates a visual lightness despite the substantial weight of 15.9kg. Balanced proportions provide comfort and distinctive sculptural presence. Fabric, foam and steel construction ensures durability and longevity. Each piece is made to order with a lead time of 10 to 12 weeks in Ara Thorose's New York workshop, allowing customization according to a specific environment.
Manufacturing time: 10-12 week(s)
Each piece is handcrafted using natural materials, giving it its own distinct character. Due to the handmade nature, slight variations in color, texture, and finish may occur from piece to piece. These variations are inherent to the artisan process and add to the uniqueness of each creation.
