Taffoni Erosion

Taffoni Erosion by Leo Orta, a sculptural bench resulting from a poetic exploration of the natural forces that sculpt landscapes. This work, designed as an organic foundation, draws its inspiration from rock formations altered by wind and water, evoking tafonis, these aeolian cavities so characteristic of certain reliefs. Leo Orta explains: "I seek to capture the essence of time and erosion, to materialize the dance between matter and the elements." This vision results in fluid lines and rich textures, which invite touch and contemplation. Made in bronze, Taffoni Erosion is the result of a complex manufacturing process. Bronze, chosen for its durability and its ability to render the subtle nuances of eroded material, is cast and patinated by hand. This patina, unique for each piece, accentuates the organic and living character of the work. The Taffoni Erosion bench presents itself as a habitable sculpture.
