Tiny Flowered Paphiopedilum

Tiny Flowered Paphiopedilum by Leo Orta is a sculptural side table that merges art and functionality into an organic, whimsical form. The work, inspired by the delicate beauty of the Paphiopedilum orchid, transposes the fragility and complexity of nature into an everyday object. The title itself refers to the specific variety of the orchid, emphasizing the meticulous attention to botanical details. Leo Orta describes his approach as an “attempt to capture the ephemeral essence of nature and translate it into lasting forms.” This feeling is reflected in the choice of materials and manufacturing techniques. The table is made of ceramic, a material that allows for rich tactile and textural expression. The base and top feature a textured surface, evoking the raw, organic look of natural elements, while soft pastel colors create a calming, dreamy ambiance.
