Gardening Resilience

Gardening Resilience, a poetic sculpture by Leo Orta, captures the fragile essence of nature in adaptation. Born from the artist's interest in urban resilience and symbiotic living spaces, this work is part of a series exploring nature's ability to thrive in human-transformed environments. The title itself evokes the hidden strength of life, finding unexpected ways to persist and flourish. “I observe nature as a creative and adaptive force, capable of reinventing the spaces we leave for it,” confides Leo Orta. “With Gardening Resilience, I sought to make palpable this idea of a possible symbiosis between nature and the structures that we build.” Made with a meticulous artisanal technique, the sculpture combines contrasting materials: a main body with a mineral texture evoking rock, supported by a raw metal structure.
