Nemoré IX continues the poetic exploration of the Nemoré series initiated by Hanna Heino. This 2025 sculpture (28x25x25cm) in sandstone with organza demonstrates the artist's continuing fascination with hybrid materials. Organza, an airy and translucent textile, dialogues with the solid mass of sandstone in a delicate tension between lightness and heaviness. The organic form evokes abstract natural elements, inviting multiple interpretations on the themes of memory, fragility and permanence. Each fold of the organza is carefully arranged to create plays of light and shadow that enliven the room. The handbuilt technique allows Heino to explore shapes impossible to achieve with a lathe, creating subtle asymmetries which give the work its unique character. Nemoré IX is part of a series where each piece explores a variation of the same concept, creating a dialogue between the works.
