Rainbow Festivities celebrates color and light in an explosion of visual joy. This compact 2024 sculpture (16x20x18cm) in sandstone with glaze and metallic luster concentrates remarkable energy in an intimate format. The title evokes a celebration, a festivity that results in the generous application of colored glazes and luster creating iridescent effects. Each angle reveals new colors and reflections, transforming the work into a three-dimensional kaleidoscope. The metallic chandelier technique, particularly difficult to master, gives the room changing reflections depending on the light. Rainbow Festivities demonstrates Hanna Heino's technical virtuosity while maintaining a spontaneity and freshness that recalls childlike wonder at the beauty of the world.
