Elua 01
Elua 01 is part of a series designed as a pair, exploring subtle variations within the same sculptural concept. This 2025 work in stoneware with metal leaf (33x17x16cm) demonstrates Hanna Heino's technical mastery in the application of precious metals to ceramic. The metal leaf creates luminous reflections which contrast with the matte texture of the sandstone, evoking the play of natural light. The slender vertical form gives the piece a dynamic presence despite its compact dimensions. Assembled by hand using the handbuilt technique, each curve and each surface bears the imprint of the artist's gesture. Elua 01 and Elua 02 are designed to be displayed together, creating a visual dialogue between two sister forms.
